HOW DID WE FINDOUT WHAT'S INSIDE OUR EARTH

Caves and mines are only go up to 1-2 km inside the Earth. The World's most deepest wells ,such as the one 12 km deep in the Russian Kola Peninsula or the 9 km deep one in the upper palatinate, scarcely scartch the Earth's curst .One can look deep inside the Earth in the after effects of earthquakes  or by launch  nuclear explosions. After some times sounds and seismic waves are generated by this explosions. They also throw off rock particles. By calculate their intensity and timings, scientists discover the composition of the Earth's interiors.

Like a Cricket ball, the Earth has several layers. The Earth's crust is the outermost layer, it has an average depth of about 40 km. As compared with the diameter of the Earth, which is around 12,700 km,the Earht's crust is very small. It primarily made up of solid rocks.Below the crust is the mantle, reaching to a depth of about 2900 km. Due to the heat inside the Earth, the mantle consists of solid and molten rocks. Below the mantle is the core, made up of iron and nickel. The deeper one travels inside the Earth, the hotter it is. The temperature in the core is between 4000 and 5000°C.

Wonders are all around : Many natural phenomena occurring in depths of outer space and on the Earth fascinate us. Red glowing lava streams erupt from volcanoes. Earthquakes make the ground tremble and shake. Cyclones sweep over oceans and land, causing untold suffering to human beings and animals. The Earth is the only planet in our solar system that has life on it. We have not yet visited the other planets, but have sent remote-controlled probes to explore them. These probes have radioed back pictures of these planets to us. Our solar system is a small part of the Milky Way, which, in turn, is a small part of a much larger universe!
